Residents of Hereford won't have to worry about response times for such an incident. It's similar in a sense to living in the country. You accept that response times for ambulance, fire brigade etc will be (in some cases) far longer.@SouthamObserver - I saw that live this morning. Kay Burley was rather taken aback by the comment about TMay badmouthing the police. He made the point about if this happened in a provincial town the response time would be much longer. Not sure what can be done about that, but so far the bad guys seem intent on going after city centre locations.Sounds a bit fatuous to me, at any previous time under any government the response time would be pretty poor in the province. At no time has there been ARVs circulating in provincial towns, and that's unlikely to chance even in the face of a persistent campaign, we dont have remotely enough specialists, and 20,000 bobbies in panda's won't help.
There is no sensible argument for having armed police permanently circulating in say, Loughborough, Kings Lynn or Oswestry.
A man who supported the IRA...Just do one. These people are filth. Come back Ed you were a bit of a plonker but at heart a decent person.I notice the labour spinners on here have been attacking tory government over police numbers in response to terrorist attack. So you seriously use "labour spinners" in the same post as "mcIRA" I think you should save the disgust for yourself.
Let's just remember for a second. What did jez do when asked if he would support an ISIS fund raiser release from prison for Christmas, go absolutely no bloody way. Of course not, he supported them. FFS...Robbing old ladies to fund ISIS and jezza goes into bat for them.
Then Of course we have mcIRA who supported getting rid of the spooks. 10k more plods in panda cars but no F##king intelligence agencies, that will do the trick.
These people disgust me.
Its a good job nobody in the running to get control of the levers of power wants to get rid of the likes of MI5.Look at the long list of prevented attacks. Thank you to those who help keep us safe. The Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_Great_Britain) shows a reducing number of terrorist incidents by decade, but that - when they occur - they are much more deadly.Amazing it took 12 years, to be honest.19 people died according to GMP - Sky NewsJesus, that's horrendous. This is the worst terrorist incident in the UK since 2005.
